They literally picked the two most lovable and believable celebrities in hollywood right now. It’s a good pairing because of the fact that Leonardo DiCaprio could speak his lines to a stick and I would believe that he really and truly loved that stick with all his goddamn heart. Carey Mulligan has a perfect face, so she didn’t actually have to act at all. She can just stare at Leo while he speaks to her and I’ll cry. This is failsafe casting. just have DiCaprio read the book in his under-the-breath-super-sexy-and-totally-convincing voice and have Carey Mulligan stare at him and look a little sad and you’ve got yourself a fucking blockbuster hit.
